What’s in it for you?

Here is our sales pitch for your time:

  • Everyone participating will have travel and lodging reimbursed, of course.
  • You can learn by teaching!
  • There will be lots of networking with instructors and students who are in town for DIBSI (http://ivory.idyll.org/dibsi/)
  • Feeling good about helping Spanish-speaking students in your community

What experience should you have?

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Hands-on experience with either Shell, Git, or R
  • At least 2 of the 4 instructors must be badged Carpentry instructors

To be determined…

Depending on how on many learners sign up, we may run 1 two-day workshop covering the above three lessons, or we may run 2 two-day workshops, with one room focusing on R and the other room focusing on Unix and Git. I will keep you posted when that decision has been made.

Anything else I should know?

All material generated and used during the workshop must be licensed under an open license (generally CC-BY).

We will provide digital badges acknowledging your roles!
